The Eastern Sierra Chapter provides a program for members of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) who reside in northern Nevada including Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Hawthorne, Winnemucca and Elko.

Members of the Eastern Sierra Chapter are served by three environmental professional organizations:

The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that enhances knowledge and expertise by providing a neutral forum for information exchange, professional development, networking opportunities, public education, and outreach to more than 8000 environmental professionals in 65 countries. A&WMA also promotes global environmental responsibility and increases the effectiveness of organizations to make critical decisions that benefit society.

The Association attracts decision makers from government agencies, industry, and the academic and research communities who exchange technical and managerial information about air pollution control and waste management. The Association serves these members and the public by promoting environmental responsibility and providing technical and managerial leadership in the fields of air and waste management.

Management benefits of A&WMA include a technical journal and monthly newsletter, numerous technical conferences, an annual convention and many other programs. For those who reside in northern Nevada, membership in A&WMA also includes membership in the Nevada Section and in the Eastern Sierra Chapter.

The Nevada Section

The Nevada Section provides a regional program for Nevada A&WMA members. This includes monthly luncheon meetings and an annual meeting. Speaker topics are both statewide issues and issues relevant to the Las Vegas area.

The Eastern Sierra Chapter
